Moses of the Colter
In the shadow of the towering Tennessee mountains, a young boy is discovered abandoned in the icy waters of the Colter River. The frightened seven-year-old, known as Moses, has no memory of how he ended up there or where he came from. After spending two years in the Grace House Orphanage, he is adopted by a wealthy landowner. However, the family he had longed for proves to be cold and unwelcoming, leaving Moses to seek comfort and companionship among the workers at the Ivywood Plantation and his loyal friend from the orphanage, Drew Harlan.
Moses is constantly at odds with his new family, especially his older stepbrother, Logan Ashbourne. Although he is well provided for, he dreams of breaking away. When an accidental killing forces seventeen-year-old Moses to flee his home, he and Drew seek refuge with a gang of outlaws led by the enigmatic Smiling Jack Davis.
In the wild expanse of the American West, Moses Colter seeks redemption amid the chaos of lawless frontier life. Together with his loyal friends, Moses plans to return to Ivywood Plantation to free the workers from the cruelty of the Ashbournes, all while facing the many ghosts of his past.
Tensions mount, alliances shift, and Moses confronts the ultimate test of his faith and courage, risking everything for the chance at a new beginning. Inspired by the biblical story of the Exodus, this gripping tale of redemption and resilience highlights the enduring quest for freedom within the harsh realities of frontier life.
